Inventory

It is a stock of goods. These goods are maintained on hand near a business location.
 

It is refer to the items/goods/material held by a construction firm/contractor for to be used at site.
 
        Example of inventory items on a construction site include items on a construction site include cement, steel, bolts, nails, dozer, bricks, paint, etc.

Inventory Management

  • Construction inventory management is a means by which construction companies and suppliers can keep track of materials, equipment and plant. 
                    
  • This is particularly important when a construction company has multiple projects to manage, as efficient scheduling can become very complicated.
  • Two major methods for inventory management are just in time (JIT) and material requirement planning (MRP).

Objectives 

  • To ensure that the supply of raw material and finished goods will remain continuous.
  • To minimize carrying cost of inventory. 
  • To keep investment in inventory at optimum level. 
  • To reduce the losses of theft, obsolescence and wastage etc.
  • To make arrangement for use of slow moving items.
  • To minimize inventory ordering cost.

Inventory Control Methods 

  • Inventory control is a very complex process and multiple information sources are require to define the control mechanism.
  • In order to control the wastages through misplacing, improper stacking, different types of inventory techniques are followed.
  • Most commonly used inventory control method are :
  1. ABC classification ( Always Better Control )
  2. VED Analysis ( Vital, Essential, Desirable )
  3. SDE Analysis ( Scarce, Difficult, Easy to obtain )
  4. JIT (Just In Time )

Problems  in Inventory control at construction site -

  • Material are scattered in different areas of the project.
  • The location of the stores frequently get changed which indeed to lose materials.
  • If two contractors are working on the same premises, the chances of the losing material are very high.

Top traditional food of Himachal Pradesh

 SIDU

sidu is bread that is made from wheat flour. It is a mixture of wheat and yeast by putting directly on the bonfire and then later streamed. This dish is usually made by using a ghee or butter and can be eaten with mutton or dal. Sidu can easily be found in the local restaurants of Himachal Predesh to give tourist a flavour of Himachali food. Mostly they are eaten in Kullu Manali , yet known as Kullvi dish. 


 

BABRU 

Babru is a famous black gram stuffed kachori or puris which are served for breakfast. This dish is usually by black gram or whole dal is soaked overnight and is ground to course mix , before stuffing it into the kachoris and deep fried on oil. Serve the babru at last with chana dal.



PATRODE 

Patrode dish is the most famous Himachal Pradesh food item. This dish is prepared with the leaves of Arbi. The gram flour paste is prepared with all the himachali spices , and then this paste is spread all over the Arbi leaves , and the arbi leaves rolled and streamed for 20-30 minutes. After the streaming , this dish gets half cooked and then cut in the slices and fried in the oil , and then this mouth-watering dish is ready to eat.



TUDKIYA BHATH

Tudkiya bhath is a slow-cooked rice recipe of Himachal Pradesh that pahadi people cook in their own very style. The dish is not only cooked with Indian species but an  extra add up to the lentils , potatoes , garlic , cinnamon , cardamom provides this dish such a great taste that will make you want it again and again. For the best taste , tudkiya bhath is complemented with mash dal and few drops of lime juice.
